Established in 2009 by creator Matt Cotton, MCR Motorsport Media was born from a wish to link two exciting business models together – marketing and motorsport. Whilst they were at extreme ends of the spectrum and often overlooked by many media and advertising specialists, Matt saw a raw ingredient in both. MCR intertwines the passionate and exciting world of motorsport with the powerful and energetic explosion of marketing, allowing them to work in harmony together where others have failed. This is reciprocated in our tag lines which stand for everything we do;
“Our passion is your success”.
We offer a dynamic blend of strategy, planning, and creativity, resulting in fully managed and highly successful campaigns. We only use platforms that carry the maximum impact for your brand message and promotional requirements making sure we get results. Every time.
We have a small but dedicated team on hand to engage with you, your clients and your target audience which allows us to gain an in-depth understanding of your needs. Whether we’re setting you up in social media or writing a press release, you can be assured that your requirements and goals will always remain our number one priority.
Founder Matt Cotton has grown up in motorsport world. Having competed from the age of 17, he progressed through club rallying to national level events, culminating several seasons in the MSA British Rally Championship and multiple competitive outings on the World Rally Championship finale`, Wales Rally GB.
Thanks to his experience as a competitor and whilst hunting for sponsorship, Matt saw an opportunity to combine his day job marketing skills with the apparent lack of promotion of modern day motorsport. Setting up MCR, he offered competitors the opportunity to receive a first-class promotional service whilst retaining a cost effective theme that is so necessary for our already expensive sport.
Helping the AVS Motorsport BRC team in 2012, he joined the British Rally Championship later that year and was the voice of stop line interviews for the BRC LIVE by SRG radio service in 2013. Whilst looking after a wide range of drivers in the series, Matt expanded MCR to incorporate events and championships.
This experience assisted the growth of MCR and in 2016, the small but dedicated team expanded into Circuit Racing. This culminated in a season inside a high profile British Touring Car team which will continue in 2017, further confirming the diversity of the company to deliver results.
